There are a ton of different schools of thought when it comes to Scent Work. One of them is introducing the dog to the overall concept of Scent Work by having them hunt for food alone. We will discuss the why's and how's of this methodology in this webinar.
Scent Work, at it's core, involves having a dog hunt for a particular odor in specific search elements. To be successful, the dog must be able to work through a variety of odor puzzles. However, odor is odor. While it is true that Birch, Anise and Clove may be used in competition, food also has odor. Therefore, we could very well introduce the dog to the overall concept of Scent Work using food!
In this webinar we will outline the thinking behind this approach, the benefits of it and how dog and handler teams can then progress to hunting for more than just food alone.

Probably sound like a broken record, but its easy to follow, makes me (and therefore my dog) enthusiastic, go at my own pace.Introducing Birch Course
What did you enjoy about this course? Took me out of my comfort zone. Making me keep training logs. Teaching me to break down behaviors. That is huge because all I ever see is what I need to work on.Now What Do I Do?! Course
I liked the pace of the course, how the material was presented and most importantly all of the wonderful feedback. I think the at-home learning experience was far better, due to the enormous amount of feedback (and encouragement!) that we would not get as much of in a live class.Introduction to Scent Work Course
