Now that your puppy has an idea of what the Scent Work game is all about, it is time to introduce them to the concept of hunting in exterior and vehicle search areas!

COURSE DETAILS

In this 6-week online course, we will introduce your puppy to two of the more challenging search elements: exteriors and vehicles.

As in the Puppy Scent Work course, all of the exercises are customized to ensure your puppy will be successful and with the goal that they will find this activity exciting, engaging and most importantly, fun! We will leverage their love for the sniffing game to introduce them to working in novel exterior locations, thus helping them learn the world is a fun place, as opposed to scary or worrisome.

This approach will benefit ALL puppies, but the foundation you will build in this course will be crucially valuable if you were interested in ultimately competing in formal Scent Work trials. Your puppy will be hunting for primary in this course.

Did you complete the Puppy Scent Work course? Continue the sniffing fun and show your puppy how they can conquer two of the more challenging search elements: exteriors and vehicles.

Are you interested in eventually competing? A solid foundation is key. Whether you want to compete in a NACSW™ trial down the road, or with AKC, UKC, USCSS, PSD, C-WAGS or SDDA, the principles covered in this course will get you started right!

Do you just want to do something fun with your puppy? Scent Work is where it is at! Easy. Fun. Engaging. Simple. No burdensome or heavy equipment to buy. No need to stress about the amount of time it takes. 5-15 minutes a day, two or three times a week. That's it.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR THIS COURSE

collar (flat or martingale)
harness (back-clip) (optional)
leash (6'-8')
long line (10'-15')
treats (high-value and smelly)
crate or area your puppy can wait while you set-up your searches
boxes (minimum of 10 boxes of various sizes) (good excuse to shop at Amazon!)
plastic lid (from a yogurt or similar container)
minimum of 1 novel exterior location
minimum of 1 vehicle (car, SUV, truck, riding lawnmower, motorcycle, bicycle, etc.)
earthquake putty or GlueDots
