Once our dogs understand the concept of the Scent Work game and they have their foundation skills cemented, our next step is to ensure the dog is only interested in odor. This means setting up proofing exercises that are designed to stretch the dog without setting them up to fail or posing trick questions to them. We will do just that in this 6-week course.
COURSE DETAILS
Especially when we are interested in competition, we need our dog to ignore or quickly work through potential distractions. These can be planned parts of the search areas, or outside distractions that no one planned for!
In this course, we will be covering some fun ways we can design engaging games that proof our dog's ability to stay focused on the task at-hand, without setting them up to fail, diminishing their drive or enthusiasm for the game or posing trick questions to them. Fun will be had!
