Now that your dog has an understanding of what Birch, Anise and Clove are individually, it is time to show them the concept of combo odor hides. Otherwise known as "cocktail hides", this is when a single odor vessel will contain a multitude of scented cotton swabs of any combination, be it 1 Birch, 1 Anise and 1 Clove, or any combo therein.

In this 6-week course, we will outline how you may introduce this concept to your dog and have them work out these interesting odor puzzles in all four search elements (Interior, Exterior, Vehicle and Container). Furthermore, we will ensure your dog still understands the singular target odors are indeed valuable and worth hunting for!

We will stretch the dog with challenging exercises and reinforce their joy with fun and engaging exercise as well. Additionally, you will be prompted to design your own searches, pulling upon your skills as a handler and "baby trainer" in your own right to customize and individualize all the exercises. In short, fun will be had!

SHOULD YOU TAKE THIS COURSE

Are you interested in competing?

Some competition organizations provide for combo hide placements, particularly in the upper levels of competition. Therefore, you will want your dog to be familiar with this concept.

Are you looking for ways to further develop your dog's skills when it comes to hunting for a target odor?

Really stretching their understanding, as far as combo odors and how they AND the individual odors are still valuable, is a wonderful approach to take.
